"Success is when preparation and opportunity meet."

Founder and CEO of Abernathey Holdings

Abernathey Holdings (AH) is a leading real estate holding company driven by a passion for business and inspired by the value investing approach of Warren Buffett and the simplicity approach of Gary Tharaldson. My investing journey began at the age of 13, exploring a diverse range of public securities.

Comprised of a vertically integrated, investor-owned line of business, Abernathey Holdings controls the means of production making it uniquely positioned to deliver consistent value for its customers and growth for its investors

Established in August 2012, AH initially pursued a diverse investment strategy. However, in 2019, we strategically shifted our focus to developing and owning class-A self-storage facilities across the sunbelt region, while also owning the operating companies to ensure vertical integration. This streamlined approach has not only enhanced our returns but also propelled AH to achieve remarkable market-beating results, elevating our assets under management (AUM) to an impressive $250 million.

In addition to my entrepreneurial pursuits, I co-founded Abernathey Brothers Farm, an agricultural enterprise spanning multiple locations in Lansford and Bottineau, North Dakota. Our focus is on planting, growing, and harvesting thousands of acres of small grains, which are sold in the open market. This hands-on experience, combined with Mr. Buffett’s wisdom that investing and business go hand in hand, has sharpened my skills in both realms.

Through the Abernathey Foundation, we collaborate with Unseen, a Fargo-based organization, to combat global human trafficking. Our commitment to focus and effectiveness drives us to adopt sustainable strategies, aiming to create a self-sustaining system that grows and maintains itself, similar to a successful business model. We believe in empowering individuals by teaching them skills that provide long-term solutions, rather than relying solely on monetary donations.
